Cookies & browser storage
Last updated 19 October 2026
What the app uses
Tallymere uses necessary cookies and browser storage to sign you in, preserve setup information and safely continue requests. The application does not currently include advertising trackers or optional audience-analytics scripts. A browser or hosting-provider security page may use its own necessary security storage.
Sign-in cookies
Supabase authentication uses first-party cookies beginning sb- and containing auth-token. These keep your session and support secure email-link or password-recovery flows. Some values are split across numbered cookies.
The installed authentication library sets a maximum cookie lifetime of 400 days and can refresh it during use. This is a browser-storage lifetime, not a guarantee that a login remains valid for that period: the application separately checks session validity. Sign-out clears the authentication cookies. Temporary verification cookies are removed when the relevant flow completes.
Storage in the browser tab
The company setup step uses sessionStorage to carry the company name to account creation. Tallymere ignores that setup value after 24 hours. Payment and permission workflows may retain the exact pending request in the same tab to prevent accidental duplicate submissions, clearing it after confirmation.
Tab storage normally ends when the tab closes, although your browser’s session-restore behaviour can preserve it. These items are used for the action you requested and are not advertising profiles.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage can prevent sign-in or interrupt an unfinished request. Sign out before clearing data and keep a record of any request whose outcome has not yet been confirmed.
There is no optional-cookie consent toggle because the app currently has no optional cookie categories. If that changes, we will update this notice and provide any consent choices required before those technologies are used.
